Tutorial for Medallion Card Ruffle

Happy April 1st! Happy April Fools Day!  All day long I mangaged to get by with out anyone pulling an April Fool's joke on me until my hubby came home from work tonight! The neighbors are having some limbs and other trees cut down in their yard. Okay, it's noisy but I can live with it. My little bunny's are so scared they are running in circles in their cages. Okay, Norris walks in the door and says, "Part of a tree just fell on Terry's (the neighbor) house!!" I got up from the computer and started to go to the neighbor's house, when he said, "April Fools." I've gotta love him....but his jokes not so much.

Okay, on to the Medallion Card Ruffle Tutorial.
TUTORIAL FOR MEDALLION CARD RUFFLE
What you will need:
Card stock
Stampin' Pad
Medallion Background stamp
Crimper
scissosrs ( I use our Paper Snips)
SNAIL Adhesive
Choice of ribbon
3 half back pearls from the Pretties Kit (optional)
Stamp set of choice for the top part of your card
Very Vintgage Jumbo Wheet in the Occasions Catalog

Stamp medallion image on card stock. I stamp several images at a time because I'm so crazy for this technique! Next, cut out medallion just around the outside.
It's easier to run the cut medallion through the Crimper while the image is in one piece.
Run cut out image through the Crimper 4 times. This makes the card stock soft and eaiser to fold when attaching it to you card.
Once crimped, cut out a section about 1 inch and cut out the inside circle.

Now you are ready to stamp the lower part of your 4" x 5 1/4" card stock using Very Vintage jumbo wheel. Right above the line , run SNAIL Adhesive the entire 5 1/4" part of the card stock. Now you are ready to start applying the ruffle to the card. As you go along the card stock fold the ruffle over and make sure it is on the SNAIL adhesive. When you get to the other side, you might have to turn the card stock over and trim any extra ruffle.

Once you have the ruffle attached, stamp the top of your card with the image you'd like to enhance your card. Once image is complete, attach the ribbon and use SNAIL Adhesive to  secure ribbon on the back of the card stock. Apply card stock to the card. Apply half backed pearls and you are finished.
I used Pretty In Pink card stock, ink, and Ribbon because pink looks so much like Spring flowers, Close to Cocoa for the branch, Certainly Celery for the leaves and Bashful Blue for the birds.
I used the Eastern Influences stamp set for the top of my card.

Give this technique a try...it's addictive!
Happy Stampining!
