As promised, here is another of the portfolios and cards I made for the Art Auction at my church for the pre-school. This time I used the Medallion Background stamp on the front cover of the portfolio and then did a technique I learned from another Demonstrator. After I stamped the Medallion on Whisper White card stock, I cut it out and ran it through Stampin' Up! crimper three times. Next, I cut a notch out of the medallion and cut out the entire center. I put a strip of Snail adhesive across the top layer of the card (4 x 5 1/4 inches) and adhered the medallion, folding as I went. It is so easy to do and so much fun to make the ruffle.
I used Pretty In Pink card stock, 5/8 inch Satin Ribbon, and 3/8 inch Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon on top. I added three pearls from the Pretties Kit and then stamped the top of the card with the images from the Eastern Influences Stamp set from the Big Catalog. On the green card, I used Certainly Celery card stock, Whisper White card stock, Certainly Celery 5/8 inch ribbon and 3/8 inch Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon on top with pearls from the Pretties Kit. I stamped the images using Certainly Celery for the branches, Pretty In Pink for the flowers, and Bashful Blue for the two birds. I used the Very Vintage Jumbo wheel at the bottom of the card.
Check back later. I will have a tutorial for you so you can have fun making these beautiful cards and portfolio yourself!
Happy Stamping!
