New Floral Frames Framelits

Today I have a couple of cards made with the New Floral Frames Framelits and Daydream Medallions Stamp Set. Making cards couldn't get much easier or faster than this.
I know...it's only June but when I saw the Floral Framelits and the Daydream Medalions, the first thing I thought of was this kinda looks like a wreath. I had just received my new catalog order.  When I saw the  Christmas designer series paper called Be of Good Cheer I couldn't wait for Christmas to make a card.  I used Cherry Cobbler ink, Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon and Gumball Green ink. I just love it this look!

This card is made with the Floral Frames Framelits and Daydream Medallions stamp set. I used Whisteria Wonder card stock, ink and the designer series paper just retired. I just had to make one more card using it. It was my favorite.

When using these framelits, it best to stamp your image then cut out the frames using the Big Shot Die Machine. The Framelits has 5 layering dies (the larges is 5 1/4" wide).

A Look at New Products

As promised here is the card I posted yesterday but took the picture too close. Now this is better.

Here are more cards I made using some of the "new stuff" from the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog.

This card is a combination of old and new products,
The card base is Elegant Eggplant. I used Floral District Designer Series Paper for the Apothecary Accents Framelits, Whisper White Card Stock for the tag from the same Framelits Sizzlits Die and the Big Shot Machine. The stamp set is new and called  Loving Thoughts. The pansies are made from Daffodil Delight, Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder Card Stock, the now retired Butterfly punch and Dazzling Diamonds. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Doesn't this card look just like Summer? I love the little bird and the Designer Series Paper Comfort Cafe. The stamp set is
a new one called Betsy's Blossoms. The base of the card and ink is Pool Party. I stamped the bird and flowers on Very Vanilla. Other ink, Early Espressos, Starfruit, and Midnight Muse.
Here again, I used Apothecary Accents Framelits and the Big Shot Machine. To set the bird off from the background I used a Stampin' Dimensional and  a small Rhinestone Basic Jewel.

Double Pocket Cards

I learned to make double pocket cards about 10 years ago but had forgotten about them until I visited Patty Bennet's Blog where she had a tutorial on how to make them.
It's so fun and easy to make these cards. I made 13 cards for my Dentist and all the mother's she has working for her.
The little purple Pansy card is a love note I added. I used all kinds of designer series paper and embellishments.
All you need for each card is one sheet of 12" x 12" designer series paper, some card stock, a brad and anything else you want to add.

The Thursday before Mother's Day I went in to the dentist for a prep for a crown and surprised the ladies. They are new to handmade cards and Stampin' Up! so they were very impressed.
What fun it is to be able to make beautiful cards and paper projects that are affordable and that I'm proud to give as gifts!

They pansies are made using Stampin' Up! Butterfly punch. The larger flower is made using the Blossom Punch.
I was able to get in on a  Bulk Buy and purchashed these cute 7" clothes pins. Let me know how you like how I decorated them and how they will be used.
I used what is now retired products from Stampin' Up!

ATTENTION! NOW YOU CAN ORDER FROM THE NEW ANNUAL STAMPIN' UP! CATALOG!
Did you know that the new catalog is out?

If you need a catalog, let me know. I will give one to you free...you just pay the shipping cost. US only.

In the next couple of days I will be making cards and other project using new items from the June 1, 2012-May 31, 2013 catalog.
I hope your week-end is wonderful...Happy Stampin'

Coloring Easer Eggs With Stampin' Up! Ink Refills

Last night, two of our granddaughters, Hannah and Olivia Fee and our oldest daughter Pam and I colored Easter Eggs.
We used the regular egg coloring but after the eggs were colored we added our own ideas using Stampin' Up! Ink Refills, and the negative from Stampin' Up! Punches and Dies.

Hannah

Olivia

We used the Bird Builder punch negative on the orange and turquoise eggs. The egg on the left, I used a Paper Doily Die cut out and sponged Baja Breeze ink on the eggs. The yellow egg with purple dots came about when I used a Qtip and applied Elegant Eggplant ink. The two bunnies were made by our granddaughter Sarah Sward.

More eggs decorated using the Paper Doily Die and the center egg was made using the negative from the Butterfly punch.
More swirled eggs. The egg on the right was made by just a couple of drops of Ink Refill...it then spread out to make this interesting formation.

Aren't these cool! Here we used Stampin' Up! Color Spritzer Tool and then we put a few drops of Ink Refill in a paper bowl and swirled the egg around.

Easter Candy Projects

Cute little Easter baskets made with the Scallop Circle Die.

I made these for a family get together on Saturday.
I used card stock and Designer Series Paper to make the baskets. The stamp sets are Heaven Blessed from the Occasions Mini and Everybunny from the Big Catalog.

These tiny little baskets will hold 2-4 pieces of smaller candy. I added 2 foil covered eggs and a miniature candy bar to our
3" x 5" Cellophane Bags and tied some of our Baker's Twine at the top of the bag.

TOP NOTE BAGS

Stampin' Up!'s Top Note Die comes in handy for so many projects as well as cards. This year I cut out Top Notes out of card stock and coordinating Designer Series Paper and attached them to the top of a candy filled 3" x 5" Cello bag.

Each year I make a Stampin' Up! goody for the young neighborhood children. Aren't these little girl and boy bunnies the cutest! The stamp images are from Everybunny. For the girl bunny, I added a bow made from retired Pretty In Pink 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon.
