Blog Candy...What I've been up to...Christmas Ideas...Count Down

I have a lot to tell you about!

Blog Candy...What I've been up to...Christmas Ideas & Count Down to Christmas!  ONLY 10 DAYS TO CHRISTMAS!

Blog Candy
As promised last time, here is another Blog Candy for this month. These are cork coasters. I saw Sue Erickson's idea and knew I wanted to try my hand at these. What fun. The project goes so fast.
For this Blog Candy Give-A-Way you will have until 6:00 p.m. EST on the 18th to leave me a comment. I will post the winner later Saturday night.

What I've been up to:
This is such a busy season and a fun one, shopping, baking, wrapping gifts and making projects. I have been busy making cloth ornaments using Stampin'Up! Designer Fabrics. Deck the Halls and Candy Cane Christmas. I saw on another blog the idea of making cloth ornaments and gave it a try. Each year we give each grandchild a Christmas ornament so this worked out really well for me. I killed two birds with one stone so to speak.

Aren't they cute? I had a ball making them. Easy Peasy.

My temporary craft room...

This is a die hard stampers area! I have a beautiful studio with built-ins and plenty of room, but since my husband has been home from his heart attacks and double by-pass surgery, we have been together more than we ever have. Neither of us wanted me to be out in my studio for hours on end so in came my supplies to the living room.
My husband dared me to take photos and share with you. You see, he doesn't have a clue about die hard stampers. He thought I would be embarrassed....but I fooled him! More photos...

You never know what you might need, so bring a little bit of everything, right?

And more still...

Fun projects!

Another lunch sack pouch idea with Rudolph and his friends

This one I made for our great nephew, Victor.

Won't Victor have fun with this surprise?

A sweet treat snowman card to go with the lunch sack pouch.

This single stamp, Simple Seasonal Thanks was in last year's Holiday Mini. I cut the center out so I could use the stamp for more than just a thank you stamp. I got the idea from Connie Babbert, my upline and good friend. Thanks Connie. I had to keep this stamp and this year I used it to make over 20 of these darling sweet treat cards. These are addicting!

Now...on to candles!

Here is another addicting project! I started looking through my Christmas stamps to see what would fit on my votive candles and found that stamps that are larger than the candle can be cut down and they look like they were meant to be that size. I also use some non- Christmas sets, like Tart & Tangy,  and 24-7.

I made dozens of these this week. I am giving them out to the front desk ladies at my doctors, dentist, eye doctor and my husbands heart surgeon along  with a Christmas card. I'm adding the candles to packages I have sent to relatives and friends.  I go to the post office so often, I took candles into to the guys and gals. Everyone is so surprised and happy to be given a little "something". It's so much fun to play Santa.

Well, I'm going to get a hot cup of tea and put my feet up and relax tonight. Don't forget to leave me a comment before Saturday.

Happy Stamping!
Jane

  5. Good for you for moving your supplies so you can spend time with your DH as he recuperates. Glad to hear he is doing well. Tell him that all stamping spaces look like that at some point so nothing to be embarrassed about.

Your wide-mouthed reindeer made me LOL.

  8. Hi Jane,
Let your hubby know that there are more of us out here who will set up shop in the living room, even when we have a dedicated stamp room. I have had a fold up banquet table out here just for the fresh place to work from - even though I love my craft room.

Your creativity is such a fun blessing, too! I love the various candles, the coasters are just too cute, that singing reindeer makes me smile and the snowman belly looks delicious! Your idea for cloth ornaments makes me want to break out the sewing machine and start sewing. Thanks for sharing!
