Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge CCMC1 and Blog Candy

Good Morning! Today's Challenge is from Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge CCMC1.

I chose A Little Bit of Magic set (#120033 (c) or (#118614 (w), from the Summer Mini available on May 1st.
Products Used:
Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, and Old Olive card stock. Island Oasis Desginger Series Paper (# 117173) from the Summer Mini.

Black Stazon ink, Bashful Blue, Melon Mambo, Bernuda Bay, Yo Yo Yellow, Garden Green, and Blush Blosson Stampin' Markers.

Frost White Shimmer Paint from Holiday Mini #116854 available now and will be a carry over to the new Idea Book and Catgalog available in July 2010.
I mixed rubbing alcohol 70% with Frost White Shimmer Paint 30% in a spray bottle. Be sure to really shake the mixture before each use. I think you can see some of the shimmer on the card if you look at the top of the Tempting Turquoise card stock.

BLOG CANDY GIVE-A-WAY!

This month's Blog Candy is Tart and Tangy birthday card and four 2 x 2 inch magnets I made and featured last week using Tart and Tangy stamp set.  I rinsed off the tiles with warm water and let them dry. I then sponged Stampin' Up! Craft Re-inkers and a sponge dabber on the stamp in Real Red, Green Galore and a mixture of Pink Passion and Real Red for the strawberries and stamped on the tiles.

After baking them in a 350 degrees oven for 30 minutes, I let them cool and then gave them 2 coats of a matt sealer spray, (be sure to spray outside) then gave them two coats of Perm Enamel; a clear gloss glaze for tile, glass and Creamic. The Perm enamel can be found at your local craft store. The magnets I used were ProMag 3/4 inch round. You can find them http://www.magspec.com/  They come 50 buttons to a package. These are heavy magnets and will hold the 2 x 2 tiles securely.

The card base is Real Red. I layered with Whisper White card stock that I ran through the Big Shot using the new Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Summer Mini (#119976). The next layer I used Real Red card stock then stamped each of the fruits from Tart and Tangy on Whisper White card stock and mounted them on the Real Red card stock.  I used Stampin' Markers Yo Yo Yellow, Real Red, and Old Olive. For the birthday greeting I used Modern Label punch and layered it on Lots of Tags Embosslits using Yo Yo Yellow card stock using the stamp set On Your Birthday from the Big Catalog.

This card and  tile magnet set can be yours! Just leave me a comment at the end of this post and your name will go in my drawing. Deadline for comments is Monday May 10th at 6:00 p.m.  US only please. Everyone can enter. I'd love to see your comments!
Happy Stamping!
