Stamping on Candles

Wouldn't you love to receive a beautiful candle like this one? Or better yet, how about making your very own to give as gifts?
I've seen this idea and thought I would give it a try. I used the stamp set "Always" from Stampin' Up! This works great for votives, or any size pillar candle.
How To:
1. Purchase your candle.
2. Use tissue paper and stamp image.
3. Cut around image cutting most of the tissue      paper off and leaving the stamped image.
4. Place the stamped tissue paper on your candle.
5. Using a large piece of was paper, wrap around your candle and gather a hand full at the back of the candle to hold in place. Make sure wax paper is smooth before heating.
6. Using your heat gun, heat the image until you see the tissue paper burn away. (Be careful while using your heat gun, it gets hot before you know it). When heating the image, move your heat gun around so you won't make indentations in you candle.
7. Once image is transfered to the candle, pull wax paper off and roll the candle on a clean sheet of paper.
8. That's it!
I hope you give this a try.  What a nice gift for a neighbor, child's teacher, mail carrier, etc. Be careful....it's addictive! :)
Happy Stampin'
Jane
