More Flower Folds Ideas....Making Buttons
Good afternoon! It's cloudy here in Kalamazoo, Michigan but I can't be sad when I look at this bright orange purse I crocheted for our granddaughter, Sarah. She loves Pooh, so Pooh lining and a Pooh button it is! I had so much fun making the purse (made my own pattern) and then used the Flower Folds Die to make a button.
After the purse was finished and asembled, I cut out several layers of the Pooh material using the Flower Folds Die and Circle Die. Using my glue gun, I attached all the layers and added one layer of white nylon net and two layers of white felt. I sewed a large button on the purse and then hot glued the Flower Folds material to the button. On the opposite side of the purse, I attached a 10 section chain made from the orange yarn which holds the purse closed once it is pulled around the Pooh Button. It was a big hit with Sarah. This is the sixth purse I've made in many bright colors for our six granddaughters.
