Top Note meets Snowflake #2 Die

It's November 9th and here in Michigan we have 61 degrees! I'm ready for some snow but the weather man says that we are going to have similar weather all week. So, I turned on some Christmas music and began creating!

When I first received the Snowflake #2 Die I wanted to use it on a card that was different than anything I had seen.  I began playing around with the die and came up with this idea. There is no stamping on the card front, just card stock and one medium size clear Rhinestone brad.

On the first two cards I ran Whisper White card stock (the third card I used Bashful Blue) through the Big Shot using the snowflake # 2 die. I cut out two snowflakes at a time. I punched out one Whisper White snowflake using the new Jumbo Snowflake punch.  Next, using the Top Note, I cut our Night of Navy, Real Red, and Bashful Blue top note. I ran them through the Big Shot using Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions Folder Pealts-A-Plenty. I used contrasting layers to give interest and help make the snowflakes pop.
Using the Crop-A-Dile, I punched a hole in the center of two snowflakes and the punched snowflake.
I turned the second snowflake a little to off set it and make the snowflake look fuller and added the punched snowflake and attached all of  them with a Rinestone brad. I assembled the card using Snail Adhesive for the first layer and Stampin' Dimensionals on the Top Note and the snowflake.

Punches and Ribbon and Stamps Oh My!

The next three cards were so much fun to make!
The first card I used Real Red card stock for the base, Whisper White for the top layer and Crushed Currry Ribbon. Using Versa Mark, I stamped the flowers from Berry Christmas set in the Holiday Mini.
I had some Real Red embossing powder left from several catalogs ago used my heat gun to set the color. Using Summer Sun Stampin' Pad, I stamped the flower centers from the Berry Christmas set(p8). The sentiment is from Four the Holidays from the Holiday Mini catalog (p 19)

The middle card was fast and easy! I used Old Olive card stock for the base, Very Vanilla Textured card stock for the top layer. One the left side of the card I attached a self-adhesive strip from the Simply Scrappin' Kit Christmas Jingle (p.165). I stamped Santa and December 24 from the Just Beclause set from the Holiday Mini (p 19). and added the holly from Christmas Classics in the big catalog.

The last card I used Old Olive card stock for the base. A strip from Christmas Jingle (p19) Simply Scrappin Kit is attached at the top of the card to secure the Silver Cording (p27) in Holiday Mini. To finish the card, pundhed three decorations from DSP using the new punch, Delightful Decorations (p 24) in the Holiday Mini. DSP came from the Christmas Jingle Scrappin' Kit.
I hope this gives you some ideas for your own Christmas cards.
